Vein Stripping

We offer patients in our clinic a broad range of modern operative techniques in varicose vein surgery. Vein stripping is a standard method in this field.

The term “vein stripping” encompasses a surgical intervention in which the lateral branch veins or also truncal veins are removed. It is performed under general anesthesia.

The confluent veins are sealed through a small incision in the groin or in the hollow of the knee. Afterwards, a probe is inserted — this removes the veins that were the cause of the disorder.

Moreover, superficially affected veins can be extracted (“stripped”) via small incisions in the skin.
